Culture, sport and leisure

Living in Brandevoort, experienced together!

Brandevoort is vibrant, and we want to keep it that way. Within the Culture, Sport and Leisure portfolio, the district council is committed to creating a neighborhood where connection, activity, and creativity are central. A lively neighborhood is a connected neighborhood, where everyone can discover and share their talents.

Events

From small-scale community initiatives to larger neighborhood festivals, events bring people together. The district council supports existing activities and encourages new ideas, such as live music, markets, film nights, sports days, and cultural festivals. Together with our partners, we assist with permits, communication, and connecting local organizations. This helps make Brandevoort a place where people enjoy coming and staying.

Sports facilities

Physical activity is healthy and brings people together. We are committed to accessible and well-maintained sports facilities, from small football fields and sports halls to walking routes and cycling paths. We also contribute to new initiatives such as outdoor fitness equipment, sports clinics, and collaboration with local clubs. Sport is for everyone, young and old, beginners and enthusiasts alike.

Art and Culture

Art and culture add character to the neighborhood. Within this portfolio, we encourage creative expression in public spaces, support local artists, and promote cultural education. This includes exhibitions, workshops, and collaborations with schools and cultural institutions. We believe that culture connects, inspires, and gives Brandevoort its unique identity.

Do you have an idea for an event, are you missing a sports facility, or would you like to make art more visible in the neighborhood? Join the district council or get in touch. Together, we create a Brandevoort full of energy, creativity, and enjoyment.
