Economy

A thriving neighborhood starts with a strong local economy!

A vibrant neighborhood is more than just homes and green spaces. It thrives thanks to its entrepreneurs, shops, and local facilities. Within the Economy portfolio, the district council focuses on strengthening local business activity in Brandevoort. We believe that a healthy economy contributes to employment, social interaction, and the unique character of our neighborhood.

Local entrepreneurs

Brandevoort has a growing number of independent entrepreneurs, ranging from hospitality and retail to creative makers and service providers. The district council supports these entrepreneurs by encouraging collaboration, connecting initiatives, and increasing their visibility. This includes joint promotions, exposure through neighborhood channels, and organizing networking events. Local entrepreneurs are the driving force of our neighborhood and its identity.

Shopping center Winkelveste

Winkelveste is the commercial heart of Brandevoort. Within this portfolio, we work closely with the shop owners’ association on the appearance, accessibility, and attractiveness of the shopping center. We aim for a diverse range of shops, a pleasant shopping experience, and a strong connection between entrepreneurs and residents. We also explore opportunities for events, pop-up initiatives, and integrating Winkelveste into broader neighborhood activities.

The Economy portfolio is all about opportunity, connection, and entrepreneurship. Do you run a business in Brandevoort, are you looking to start one, or do you have ideas to strengthen the local economy? Join the district council or get in touch. Together, we build a vibrant and enterprising neighborhood.
