Care and Well-being
We are committed to a healthy and resilient neighborhood. This includes attention to mental health, informal care, community initiatives, and connecting care providers with residents. Examples include encouraging meeting places, supporting volunteers, and identifying support needs so that no one falls through the cracks.
Poverty reduction
There are also families and individuals in Brandevoort who struggle to make ends meet. Within this portfolio, we focus on raising awareness, referring people to support services, and lowering barriers. We aim to make poverty a topic that can be discussed openly and work towards a neighborhood where everyone has equal opportunities, regardless of income.
Elderly
Our older residents are a valuable source of experience and connection. We are committed to creating an age-friendly neighborhood with accessible facilities, safe walking routes, and social activities. We also look at housing options that match the needs of seniors, so they can continue to live comfortably and independently in Brandevoort. For this, we collaborate with several local partners such as Kansrijk, Oog voor elkaar, and Aandacht voor ouderen.
Youth and vulnerable groups
Young people are the future of our neighborhood. We listen to their ideas, concerns, and ambitions. At the same time, we support vulnerable groups, from people with disabilities to newcomers, by promoting inclusion and removing barriers.
