Within the Education and Youth portfolio, the district council is committed to creating a stimulating, safe, and engaged environment where young residents of Brandevoort can grow, learn, and participate. We believe that a strong connection between education, parents, young people, and the neighborhood lays the foundation for a resilient community.
Collaboration with schools
Brandevoort has several primary and secondary schools, each with its own character. The district council maintains active contact with school boards, parent associations, and education professionals. We contribute to topics such as traffic safety around schools, social safety, sustainability in education, and involving schools in neighborhood initiatives. In this way, we build a learning environment that is closely connected to society.
Youth participation
Young people have a voice, and we want to hear it. Within this portfolio, we encourage youth participation by actively involving them in neighborhood projects, consultation moments, and creative initiatives. Examples include youth panels, co-creation sessions, and events where they take the lead themselves. Participation creates a sense of responsibility and appreciation.
After-school activities
